Details of the process:
- Light and dark colored paper
- Glue
- Brown crepe paper
- Floral wire
Cut a sheet of pink paper into thin strips using a cutter. Place a small dot of glue on one end of a strip and roll it inward. You can use a fine tool or a toothpick to help with the rolling. Make sure it is tight enough. When you have completely rolled it, place another bit of glue at least 2 cm from the tip to seal it. Once it’s dry, push it slightly outward with your fingers to create a concave shape. Repeat this step for the rest of the petals.
Take five petals and glue them to the sides in a star shape, leaving a small space in the center.
Cut some strips of darker colored paper about 4 cm wide. Fold the strips in half and make small cuts one after another, leaving at least 15 millimeters free from the folded side. Roll the cut strips of paper in the same way as the petals, gluing them at the end; these will be the flower stamens. Once rolled, separate the stamens a bit to give a natural look and place them in the small space between the petals, gluing them to the sides.
While they dry, take a piece of wire and wrap it with a strip of crepe paper. At the tip of the wire, place a dot of glue and add a strip of brown paper, applying glue along the way as you wrap the paper to give it a slight cone shape and let it dry.
When everything is dry, glue the petals with the stamens to the wire.
