Materials:
- Fabriano paper (watercolor paper) or thick cardstock
- Ruler
- Pencil
- Glue
- Acrylic markers
- Folio paper
Instructions:
- Cut a 9×9 cm² square.
- Draw two lines spaced 3 cm apart lengthwise, then draw two more lines spaced 3 cm apart widthwise. This will create 9 squares, each 3×3 cm.
- In the center square, draw the character of your choice and color it with markers. Color the squares above, below, and to the sides of the central square. The corner squares should remain white.
- Make a diagonal cut in the white squares. Fold the figure along the marked lines and glue the flaps. This will result in a cube.
- On another piece of watercolor paper, draw a 4×4 cm square. Draw another square inside it, 3.10 cm in size. Add 2 cm to the sides and draw four rectangles. Draw an extra 4×4 cm square below one of the rectangles. Add flaps and then cut along the sides and the 3.10 cm square. Color it.
- Fold the figure along the marked edges and glue the flaps. You will end up with a cube with a square opening.
- Take two strips of cardstock or folio paper. Glue one end of each strip, with one strip pointing up and the other pointing to the right. Fold each strip in the opposite direction on top of each other to create an accordion.
- Glue one end of the accordion to the first cube you made and the other end to the second cube.
And you’re done! To make a four-key keyboard, repeat the entire process three more times.
