FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Our official opening hours are
Monday to Friday    –  10.00am to 6.00pm
Saturday & Sunday –   Closed
However we are often here later than 6.30pm finishing the work. If it is more convenient for you to come a little later then, by all means, give us a ring.

Please call in to our shop or phone and we will discuss your requirements with you.

If we can, we will give you a price straight away, if not we will get back to you with a free estimate.

Alternatively you may prefer to fax, e-mail or write to us for an estimate. Please give as much information as possible, or send a sample, to allow us to give an accurate price – see below.

The following information would be useful:

Quantity – size – material to be used – how many colours (including black) – is the job to be printed on one or both sides of the sheet – does the printed image bleed off the edge of the paper – are there large solid printed areas – what finishing is required? (folding, binding, numbering, etc.) – does the design use tints? – will we be doing the typesetting or will you be supplying artwork?

A deposit will be required at the time of ordering and the balance is payable upon collection of the finished job.

Ø         We look forward to hearing from you.

Ø          New Customers – See our special offer.

We generally take full payment or a deposit at the time of ordering with the balance due upon collection. We accept cheques, company cheques or cash but at present we cannot take credit or debit cards. Account facilities can be arranged. We are fully VAT registered and a VAT receipt or invoice can always be given.

We will always try to fit in with your deadlines and can often produce work at short notice (in a day or two) if necessary. Most jobs are ready in 5-7 days but obviously the complexity of a job will affect the length of time it takes to produce. We will be happy to discuss lead-time with you.

It is of paramount importance to us that you are satisfied with your finished job. We will discuss your requirements with you and we can show you examples of similar work we have produced and of materials to choose from. Black and white laser or colour ink jet proofing is available on all jobs that we typeset. This will give you a very good idea of how the final job will look. We can also supply samples of paper or card for you to test to establish their suitability (e.g to try in your printer). We can produce machine proofs if required but an additional charge would be made.

When we produce a job for the first time there is work that needs to be done prior to printing. This may include typesetting, scans, outputting films, making plates, etc. This work is called origination and we normally show this as a separate charge when estimating. If the job is subsequently repeated, the origination would not be charged again as long as there are no alterations. If in the future amendments are necessary then an alteration charge would be made.

We keep records of all the jobs we print for at least 2 years. Should you need to reorder your job in the future all you need to do is let us know. If the job is unaltered then there would be no origination charge – see above.

Normally jobs would be collected from our workshop. Delivery can always be arranged either by cab or courier but a charge would be made for this.

Unless otherwise stated VAT will be added to any prices we quote. (We will zero rate items where appropriate).
